Online Identity Theft

Identity theft is a type of fraud that involves using someone else's identity to steal money or gain other benefits.

There are many types of online identity theft such as:
  • Phishing - scammer tricks users into handing over your personal information
  • Hacking - access to others information by exploiting security weaknesses on users profile
  • Remote access scams - the scammer tricks people into giving access to your computer and paying
  • Malware & ransomware - install software on others computer that allows them to access other files or watch what others are doing on your computer.
  • Fake online profiles - sets up a fake profile on a social media or dating site and sends of someone else
  • Document theft - get access to peoples private information and steals them





Cyber Bully

Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place using social media or any media with Web 2.0.

People are often targeted and abuse online for their identity or what have they done online as they became a victim of bullying online with harsh and cruel comments.

Cyberbullying can happen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and reach a kid even when he or she is alone. It can happen any time of the day or night.
