- Remote access scams - the scammer tricks people into giving access to your computer and paying
- Malware & ransomware - install software on others computer that allows them to access other files or watch what others are doing on your computer.
- Fake online profiles - sets up a fake profile on a social media or dating site and sends of someone else
- Document theft - get access to peoples private information and steals them
